I love lists. Ever since I was a little girl, I would carry around a clipboard and write out lists for just about everything. So, it’s no surprise that the one thing that really motivates me to get things done is checking them off my lists. That’s why I wanted to share some fabulous cleaning checklists to keep you motivated. There are a whole variety of designs, layouts, and methods below so choose what works best for you and your home!

1. Printable Cleaning Checklist
I love this simple printable cleaning checklist almost as much as I love the entire Thirty Handmade Days blog! I love the easy to use setup and that it can be used to assign kids’ initials to each box instead of just checking each task off to make keeping the house clean a joint family effort. (via Thirty Handmade Days)
2. Detailed Room by Room Spring Cleaning Checklist
While the checklist above offers a great overview of all the items that need spring cleaning, you may be looking for a list of each specific task for every room in your house. That’s where this cleaning checklist comes in! (via The Kolb Corner)
Don’t miss our checklist tip!
Reprinting these checklists every time you finish them can waste a lot of printer ink and time. So, I recommend making each one reusable by sticking it in a sheet protector and checking items off with a fine point dry erase marker.
3. Customizable Room by Room Cleaning Checklist
Let’s face it, no two homes are alike in all their cleaning needs. Someone may live in an apartment and some may live in a huge house. So, this next cleaning checklist comes with two versions: one is pre-filled with typical cleaning tasks and one is blank to be customized to your own cleaning needs. (via Scattered Squirrel)
4. Daily, Weekly and Monthly Cleaning Checklists
I like how this cleaning checklist organizes out the tasks by frequency because this is how I organize things in my mind when it comes to cleaning. Plus, it helps you feel less overwhelmed when the daily items are minimal and more manageable. This will motivate you to stay on top of the little stuff so the weekly and monthly tasks aren’t as difficult. (via SheKnows)
5. Free Fillable Cleaning Checklist Printable
I like that this next checklist combines my favorite aspects of several of the checklists above. First, it can be customized to your home. Second, it lists out by frequency of the task (weekly, annually, etc.). Finally, it provides a detailed game plan for every room in the house. (via Pinch a Little Save a Lot)
6. Weekly Cleaning Schedule
This cleaning checklist is unique in that, instead of dividing up tasks by room, it divides them up by cleaning task categories. For instance, “Glass Day” or “Appliance Day.” I can see the benefits of this because you don’t have to switch tasks and cleaning products as often and instead just do the same thing in each room of your house that needs it. (via First Home Love Life)
7. Weekly Cleaning Schedule PDF
Make sure you check out this whole post to read through all the secrets of this super organized mom (I also like her chore schedule) and you can get her very own weekly cleaning checklist PDF for free. (via Happy Money Saver)
8. How Often You Should Clean Everything
I like the organization of this cleaning checklist and the fact that it includes some areas that the others did not like washing your car and cleaning up the backyard. (via Good Housekeeping)
9. Adorable Free Printable Deep Cleaning Checklist
This is one of my favorite cleaning checklists of the bunch. I looove the layout and design, which is important because it motivates me to want to use it, which means it motivates me to want to clean! (via Nina Hendrick Design Co)
10. 60 Things to Toss Out in the Next 60 Days
One of the keys to having a clean home, in my opinion, is to declutter. No matter how often you dust and vacuum, a cluttered home just looks messy. Take a page out of the minimalists handbook, and donate items that are just taking up space in your home. (via Monogrammed Magnolias)
11. Weekly and Monthly Cleaning Guides for the Cleanest Home Ever
I love the monthly layout of this very colorful free printable checklist kit. (via Printable Crush)
12. Simple & Effective Cleaning Checklist Design
I absolutely adore the simplicity of this design and will be printing this one out! Love her work like I do, check out her entire free printable library and you’ll be in heaven! (via Clean Mama)
13. 30-Minute Emergency Quick Cleaning Checklist
We all try our best to keep our homes tidy on a day to day basis, but it’s not always the top priority. Kids’ activities, work, and life can get in the way. So, when I find out that company is dropping by, I often have to jump into emergency cleaning mode to get ready. That’s exactly that this awesome 30 minute speed cleaning checklist is made for so you don’t forget anything while in a rush! (via Clean Mama)
14. Printable Cleaning Checklist Cards
And I saved one of the best clean checklists for last…How cute are these colorful, printable cleaning checklist cards? You can laminate (to make reusable) and attach to you cleaning caddy and always have them handy. (via Somewhat Simple)
